*     A Christmas party for foreign friends working in Shijiazhuang organized by municipal government was held at Yatai Hotel on Dec. 23.

    *   The 2008 competition for Foreigners speak Chinese, which is sponsored by the Hebei Provincial Education Department, lowered its curtain on December 22, Hebei Normal University.

    *    On the morning of July 29th, the Beijing Olympic Games Touch Relay come to Shijiazhuang, The 25th torch bearer, Wilma O'Sullivan, who came to Shijiazhuang in 1995 from Scotland, now she is teaching in Shijiazhuang Foreign Language School.
