The Gymnasium

As a place for competitions as well as for teaching, the 3,200-square-metre gym is divided into the upper floor for basketball and volleyball, and the lower underground floor for gymnastics, aerobics dancing and rock climbing. Three classes can have lessons at the same time here. Open to the teachers and students for free in the spare time, this is really a wonderful place to take exercise and keep fit.

Basketball and volleyball, the students’ favorite lessons, are given step by step in 16-24 periods every year. The basic skills and practices are focused on in teaching and at the same time strong character, proper psychological qualities and team spirits are cultivated.

The 16 Aerobics dancing lessons a year include bodybuilding exercises, fighting exercises and metre exercises etc. They enable the students to master specific knowledge and skills. Moreover, they set a healthy outlook on life and teach the students to appreciate and create beauty.
We are the first to have rock climbing lessons in the provincial city. Equipped with fine safety facilitates, our rock wall is 5 metres high and 24 metres long. This exciting and challenging sport enables the students to exercise the strength of their arms and legs, to develop the flexibility of their bodies, to act according to circumstances, to cultivate their perseverance and the courage to overcome difficulties and to enjoy the happiness of success after going through hardships.
